Repair and Service Terms and Conditions

What we repair

The Wetsuit Repair Shack repairs and alters most brands and styles of wetsuits.

We also repair many neoprene products, including gear bags and some buoyancy vests, depending on the condition of the item and the type of repair required.

Pricing

All prices are a guide only.

Some repairs may be more complicated than they first appear, especially when we inspect the item in person. Final pricing may vary depending on the condition of the product, the materials required and the amount of work involved.

The minimum repair charge is $45.

Condition of items

Please make sure your item is clean, dry and free from excess salt, sand and odour before bringing or sending it in.

The Wetsuit Repair Shack reserves the right to refuse repairs on items that are excessively dirty, salty or smell bad. We may also charge an additional cleaning fee before repair work begins.

Risk and responsibility

All repairs are carried out with care, but repairs are undertaken at your own risk.

The Wetsuit Repair Shack is not responsible for damage or loss that occurs while goods are in transit. We also cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing wear, weakness, ageing, glue failure or material breakdown that may become more obvious during the repair process.

Postage

Freight is the customer’s responsibility.

Return freight can be arranged and charged at cost, including GST.

Turnaround time

Repair work is usually quoted on a ten-day turnaround from the time we receive your item and confirm the repair.

We will always do our best to complete work sooner where possible, but turnaround times may vary depending on workload, parts, materials and the complexity of the repair.
